Profile

Electronic Engineer, graduated at "Università Politecnica delle Marche" in Ancona, Italy. Master's degree expected by July 2014. Since Dec 2012 I'm an R&D engineer at FIB s.r.l., a company involved in development of custom lithium pack battery and its battery management systems.

  • ESD generator circuit compliant with IEC61000-4-2. This can help engineers to test different solutions in a SPICE simulator to overcome strength over-voltages before realizing PCB circuit and test it against ESD.

    • The Electrostatic Discharge phenomenon is a great threat to all electronic devices and ICs. An electric charge passing rapidly from a charged body to another can seriously harm the last one. The commonly accepted Electrostatic Discharge current waveform is the one set by the IEC61000-4-2. This is a simple circuit, based on IEC 61000-4-2 that define the typical waveform of the discharge current besides the range of test level, to estimate the possible effect of ESD at design time. This can help engineer to evaluate possible solutions during circuit (SPICE) simulation before realizing PCB circuit and perform expensive ESD tests.
