a PWM circuit is a good solution to control the amount of power to a load, acting on the duty cycle on-off of the switching. In this project a 7414N Schmitt input inverter is connected as simple oscillator.The frequency oscillation is about 1/(6.28*R*C). This oscillator feeds the clock of a 4 bit counter 74HC163.The outputs counter generates the sequence 0000 to 1111 continuously with voltage from 0V to 5V, that feed a weighted summer amplifier implemented with the first LM324 operational amplifier.its output is a negative value increasing in absolute value. The second LM324 multiplies the value by -1/2 generating a triangle positive waveform.This output with a DC level signal are the inputs of a comparator to generate the PWM signal.

this astable circuit, called ring oscillator, is widely used in PLLs or as clock signal in digital circuits. The oscillator consists of a chain of odd number of CMOS inverters that generate an oscillation with a period T equal to 2* N* tp, where N is the number of inverters, and tp is the propagation delay (2 because each inverter switches twice during one period). For a tp equal to 25ps and N=11 we get an oscillation frequency of about 2 GHz

Signal wave generator with motorola MC68HC11A8 and a first order Bessel low pass filter. The circuit generates a sine wave, a square wave, a triangular wave and a positive spike signal. One of the output of microcontroller Port C is the square waveform.The low pass filter is used to convert the square waveform to a sine waveform. The integrator configuration of the operational amplifier converts another square waveform to a triangular wave. The frequency is set by sizing the components value according to the formula fo= 1/(6.28*R1*C1). A differentiator circuit is used to convert a square wave to a spike waveform
