DAC interfaced with a 8051 microcontroller

this project uses two SN74191, synchronous 4bit up/down counters cascaded, to generate a count sequence from 0 to 255.The clock to the counter is connected to the int0 pin of the microcontroller. For each clock pulse, the microcontroller receives an interrupt, and the data at port P1 of the counter is transferred to port p0 of 8051. This data is given to a parallel input dual 12 bit DAC AD8582 and is stored in any of the two internal registers depending upon the channel chosen and the state of LDA or LDB. The corresponding analog voltage is shown at the outputs.

Random Waveform Generator
