Description

In a real Input buffer the DC reference, used to slice the data, varies and the communication channel is band limited, with a lowpass filter effect. The amplitudes of the data become depending on the channel response frequency. This SPICE simulation circuit uses a peak and a valley detector to determine the maximum and minimum of the input signal, performing a running average to slice the buffer’s input data in the center.
