Description

SPICE simulation that models a filter FIR, finite impulse response, where the number of terms in the response is finite. This filter is non recursive that is it has an output that depends on present input values only. The weighting factor a, is a fractional coefficient called the filter coefficient or filter tap, and its value is 0.5 in this SPICE simulation. As delay block a correctly terminated transmission line is used. In the AC analysis we can note a mirror image frequency response that repeats to infinity with each response centered on multiples of the sampling frequency. The sampling frequency is 8khz, so the region of interest is from 10 Hz to 4000 Hz.
