Description

When designing CMOS circuits may need positive or negative references DC voltages that don’t lie between ground and VDD. In this SPICE simulation, the circuit, called voltage pump or also known as charge pump, can generate a voltage greater than VDD. Using a N-stage voltage multiplier (the Dickson charge pump) is it possible generate arbitrarily high voltages limited by the breakdown voltage of the capacitors or the oxide breakdown of the MOSFETs.
